Seyi Akinwunmi
Seyi Akinwunmi is a lawyer, football administrator, e n t re p re n e u r, m e n t o r, husband and father. He is an altruist who has a desire to ensure that the circumstances of an indigent child in the society is positively altered by providing good quality long term formal education as well as the opportunities for talent development. His vision is to see every child develop into his/her full potential, without exception.
He has made immense contributions to various charities whose focus align with his vision. These include The British Premier Skills
International Enterprise Challenge - a programme that uses football to engage young people in business enterprise, Autism Parents Association International (APAI) - An association of parents of children living with ASD, an advocacy initiative to educate parents, teachers and the society against stigmatization of children living with ASD. He initiated the establishment of Courage Education Foundation (CEF) which funds the education of intelligent indigent children.
Seyi Akinwunmi was the first re-elected 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Chairman of the Lagos Football Association (LSFA) for 12 years. He is a partner in the law firm of Akinwunmi & Busari and heads the banking, finance and insolvency practice. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985 and has over 30 years’ experience as a legal and insolvency practitioner with specialization in debtor/ creditor’s rights, debt and corporate recovery and turn around stretegies.
